Information

Infrared Pyrometer is one of the most commonly used instruments for hot blast stoves in steel plants. In the production process, infrared temperature measurement technology plays an important role in product quality control and monitoring, equipment online fault diagnosis and safety protection, and energy saving. In the past 20 years, non-contact infrared human body thermometers have developed rapidly in technology, with continuous improvement in performance, continuous enhancement of functions, continuous increase in varieties, and continuous expansion of the scope of application. Compared with the contact temperature measurement method, infrared temperature measurement has the advantages of fast response time, non-contact, safe use and long service life. Non-contact Infrared Pyrometers include three series: portable, online and scanning, and are equipped with various options and computer software. In each series, there are various models and specifications. Among various types of thermometers with different specifications, it is very important for users to choose the correct Infrared Pyrometer model.

Classification of Infrared Pyrometers
Infrared Pyrometers determine the temperature of an object through the amount of infrared radiation energy emitted by the object. In theory, any object higher than the maximum temperature can emit infrared radiation energy. Infrared Pyrometers can be divided into monochromatic thermometers, two-color thermometers, and multi-color temperature measurement according to the measurement wavelength. instrument.

Principle of Monochromatic Infrared Pyrometer
Currently, the monochromatic thermometers on the market are mostly narrow-band thermometers. Its temperature measurement principle is to determine the temperature by the radiant energy generated in a narrow wavelength range of the object. The thermometer measures the average temperature in an area, and the measured value is affected by emissivity, lens contamination, and background radiation.
The amount of radiant energy emitted by an object has a certain relationship with the emissivity. The greater the emissivity, the greater the infrared energy emitted by the object. The emissivity of an object has a certain relationship with the state of the surface of the object. The surface roughness, brightness, and different materials will all affect the emissivity. Therefore, when using a monochromatic thermometer, there is often an emissivity table of different materials.

The two-color thermometer can eliminate the influence of water vapor, dust, changes in the size of the detection target, partial obscuration, and emissivity changes. The two-color thermometer does not need to correct the two-color coefficient when measuring most gray materials. The two-color thermometer measures one The average value of the highest temperature in the area.
The dual-color Infrared Pyrometer can overcome the effects of severe water vapor, dust, changes in the size of the detection target, partial obscuration, and changes in emissivity. Even if the detection signal is attenuated by 95%, it will not have any impact on the temperature measurement results. The software and hardware design is suitable for the reliable detection of one million times the signal dynamic range, and meets the user's requirements for the accuracy and resolution of the instrument.
