Compared with single-color temperature measurement technology, its temperature measurement results are more stable and accurate. Since it determines the temperature by the ratio of radiant energy in two different bands, it reduces the dependence on the radiant energy value and is more suitable for harsh measurement environments than monochromatic thermometers. For example, it has advantages over monochromatic infrared thermometers when the target is occluded, or when measuring smaller targets.
1. When the target does not fill the field of view of the thermometer
When measuring a small target, the target cannot fill the field of view, or when measuring a moving target, the radiant energy will also be reduced, which has a certain impact on the monochromatic infrared thermometer, but for the two-color infrared thermometer, as long as the background Accurate measurement results can be obtained when the temperature is lower than the measured target temperature.
2. When the target emissivity is low or changing
When the emissivity of the measured target is unknown, or the emissivity of the target changes, as long as the emissivity changes in the two bands are caused by the same factor, the measurement with a two-color infrared thermometer is more accurate than a single-color infrared thermometer. But the measurement results also depend on the type of material being tested.
3. When there is a certain occlusion between the field of view and the target
In the process of infrared temperature measurement, the occlusion is mainly reflected in:
1. Increase the observation window during measurement. Due to moisture or dust on the surface of the window, the infrared transmittance will be changed, thereby affecting the measurement results.
2. The area that the infrared thermometer passes through during the measurement will reduce the radiation energy received by the infrared thermometer, such as grids, fences, small holes, etc.
3. There is dust, smoke or water vapor between the infrared thermometer and the measured target.
4. Dust or moisture has accumulated on the sensor lens.
5. The measured target or aiming channel is somewhat blocked.
