Non contact pyrometer is what we call infrared thermometer, non contact pyrometer also has the following advantages:
 
    (1) It can measure the temperature of moving objects.
 
    (2) The temperature measurement range is wide (theoretically, there is no upper limit), which is suitable for high temperature measurement.
 
    (3) The thermal inertia is small, the response time of the detector is short, and the temperature measurement response speed is fast, about 2-3s, which is easy to realize fast and dynamic temperature measurement. Under some specific conditions, such as nuclear radiation field, radiation temperature measurement can be accurately and reliably measured.
 
    (4) The temperature field of the measured object is not destroyed during the temperature measurement process, and the original temperature field distribution is not affected.
 
The disadvantages of non contact pyrometer are:
 
    (1) Because it is a non-contact pyrometer, the measurement is greatly affected by the intermediate medium. Goodbye is under industrial site conditions. The surrounding environment is relatively harsh, and the intermediate medium has a greater impact on the measurement results. In this regard, the choice of the wavelength range of the non contact pyrometer is very important.
 
    (2) The non contact pyrometer cannot directly measure the true temperature of the measured object. To get the true temperature, the emissivity needs to be corrected. The emissivity is a very complicated parameter that affects the factors, which increases the difficulty of processing the measurement results.
 
    (3) Due to the complex principle of radiation temperature measurement, the structure of non contact pyrometer is complicated and the price is high.
 
Non contact pyrometer mainly includes radiation thermometer, fiber optic radiation thermometer, etc. The former is divided into total radiation thermometer, brightness thermometer (optical pyrometer, photoelectric pyrometer) and two-color thermometer.
 
Therefore, from the point of view of the benefits of use, non contact pyrometer is better than contact thermometers. From the perspective of cost performance, it is recommended to use non contact pyrometer. Although from the initial purchase price, the price of non contact pyrometer is higher than that of contact thermometers. But the non contact pyrometer is less lossy, saving manpower, material resources and financial resources.
