Why use non contact pyrometer
The non contact pyrometer is used to measure temperature without any physical contact with the temperature body. In many industrial applications with a higher temperature range, our non contact pyrometer factory uses many other thermometers and humans cannot reach the non contact pyrometer.
The non contact pyrometer is used to measure temperature without any physical contact with the temperature body. In many industrial applications with a higher temperature range, our non contact pyrometer factory uses many other thermometers and humans cannot reach the non contact pyrometer. They are particularly suitable for measuring high temperatures beyond the ability of contact instruments, such as thermocouples, resistance thermometers (RTD) and thermistors.

Principle of non contact pyrometer: All objects emit electromagnetic radiation as a function of their temperature above absolute zero, and a radiation thermometer (also called a radiation pyrometer) measures this radiation in order to calculate the temperature of the object.
The size of the object measured by the non contact pyrometer is limited by the optical resolution, which is defined as the ratio of the target size to the distance. A good ratio is 1:300, which will allow the temperature of 1mm objects to be measured within a range of 300mm. For a large distance/target size ratio, precise aiming and focusing of the pyrometer at the target is necessary.
